71 – Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad related to me. He said: I heard Abu ʿAbd Allah Ahmad ibn Hanbal being asked about the ʿaqiqah—how should one deal with it? He replied, “Ibn Sirin said, ‘Do with the meat of the ʿaqiqah as you wish.’” It was asked, “May he eat all of it himself?” He said, “He may eat from it and give some to others.”
