669 – Abu Khaythamah narrated to us; Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr narrated to us; Israel narrated to us, from Simak, from Qabus ibn Abi Mukhariq, from Umm al-Fadl, who said:
“I saw—as though it were in my own house—a vision of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When I related it, he said, ‘It is a good dream, God willing. Fatimah will give birth to a boy, and you will nurse him with the milk of your son Qutham.’ ⦗875⦘
“Subsequently, Fatimah bore al-Hasan. She handed him to me, so I suckled him, then I brought him back and seated him on the Prophet’s lap, whereupon he urinated on him. I struck the child lightly with my hand between his shoulders, and the Prophet said, ‘Gently! May Allah set you right—or have mercy on you—you have hurt my son.’
“I said, ‘Remove your waist-wrap and put on another garment so I can wash it.’ He replied, ‘Only the urine of a baby girl is washed; the urine of a baby boy is merely sprinkled.’
