642 – Hamzah ibn al-ʿAbbās narrated to us; ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥasan ibn Shaqīq narrated to us; Ibn al-Mubārak narrated to us; Ibrāhīm ibn ʿUqbah narrated to us; Kuraib, the freedman of Ibn ʿAbbās, told me, on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was travelling through Batn al-Rawḥāʾ when a caravan caught up with him. A man among them asked, “Who are you?” They replied, “We are Muslims.” They asked, “And who are you?” He said, “I am the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” Then a woman, seated in her camel-litter, took hold of the upper arm of a small boy who was with her, lifted him up and said, “Messenger of Allah, does this child have a pilgrimage?” He replied, “He has a pilgrimage—and you will have the reward.”
