629 – Ahmad ibn Jamil narrated to me; Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us; Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Shumaysah, from ʿAʾishah, who, speaking about the proper upbringing of an orphan, said: “I do strike the orphan until he becomes at ease.”
