624 – ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣāliḥ narrated to me; Yazīd ibn Hārūn narrated to us, from al-Ḥasan ibn Wāṣil; al-Aswad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-ʿAdawī related to me, from Ḥiṣṣān ibn al-Kāhin al-ʿAdawī, from al-Ashʿarī, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: “No orphan ever sits with a people at their common dish without Satan drawing near to their dish.”
٦٢٤ - حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ وَاصِلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَدَوِيُّ، عَنْ هِصَّانَ بْنِ الْكَاهِنِ الْعَدَوِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «مَا قَعَدَ يَتِيمٌ مَعَ قَوْمٍ عَلَى قَصْعَتِهِمْ فَقَرُبَ شَيْطَانٌ قَصْعَتَهُمْ»
