606 – ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣāliḥ narrated to us; Hafṣ ibn Ghiyāth narrated, from Layth, from Ibn al-Munkadir, from Ibn Durrat, from ʿĀʾishah—may Allah be pleased with her—who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“I and the guardian of an orphan will be in Paradise like these two,”—placing his index and middle fingers side by side—“and the one who strives on behalf of a widow and an orphan is like a warrior in Allah’s cause, or like a person who fasts uninterruptedly without ever breaking his fast.”
