603 – Using the same chain of transmission, ʿAbd Allah ibn Ibrahim ibn Humayd al-Tawil narrated to us: A group once passed by Hammad ibn Salamah while several young lads were seated around him. They said, “Look at Hammad—he has surrounded himself with children!” He replied, “Bring them back to me.” When the boys returned, he added, “Last night I saw in a dream that I was watering a young shoot, and I interpreted that vision to mean these very youngsters.”
