602 – Yusuf ibn Musa narrated to us; he said: I heard one of our companions relate that some people once passed by al-Aʿmash while two young lads were seated around him. They commented, “Look at al-Aʿmash—he has gathered children around himself!” He replied, “Send them back to me, for it is these youngsters who will safeguard your religion for you.”
