591 – Al-Faḍl ibn Ziyād al-Daqqāq narrated to us; ʿAbbād ibn ʿAbbād narrated to us, from Wāṣil, who said: “I was present when a man spoke to him about his little girl and a dog of his—indeed, a puppy—that was playing with her. He replied, ‘Leave it; it is only playing with her.’”
