583 – Dāwūd ibn ʿAmr al-Ḍabbī and Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Madīnī narrated to us; Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us; Shuraḥbīl ibn Muslim al-Khawlānī related to me: Khalid ibn ʿUbayd Allāh al-Mulāʾī came in to see me after I had been circumcised. He stroked my head and prayed that I be blessed, then said, “Rejoice, my nephew, for Allah has purified you. I have been told that even a stone is rendered impure by the urine of the uncircumcised, to the point that it reeks with a foul stench like sunāj (a noxious odor).”
