557 – Khalid ibn Khidash narrated to us; ʿAbd al-ʿAziz ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Hisham ibn ʿUrwah, from his father, from ʿAʾishah, who said:

“When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had concluded the marriage contract with me, he met me in a lane, caught hold of me, and challenged me to race; we raced and I outstripped him. Later, after the marriage had been consummated, he said, ‘O ʿAʾishah, would you like to race again?’ We raced, and this time he outpaced me. He then remarked, ‘This win balances the earlier one.’”
