551 – Ishaq ibn Ismaʿil narrated to me; Abu Yahya al-Himmani reported, from al-Aʿmash, from Mujahid, who said: “Striving in Allah’s cause (jihad) has been enjoined upon men, and protective jealousy (ghayrah) upon women. Whoever among them endures it patiently and seeks the reward will receive the recompense of half a combatant.”
