548 – Abu Bakr ibn Ahmad ibn Quraysh narrated to us; al-Haytham ibn Kharijah narrated to us; Baziʿ ibn Hassan Abu al-Khalil, from Thabit al-Bunani, from al-Hasan, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The women of this world will enter Paradise before the men. There they will beautify themselves, perfume themselves, and adorn themselves with jewellery until their husbands arrive.” They asked, “In what way are the women of this world superior to the heavenly maidens (ḥūr al-ʿīn)?” He replied, “Like the superiority of freeborn women over slave-girls: they were tried and they remained patient.”
