537 – Ibrāhīm ibn al-Mustamir narrated to us; from Wahb ibn Jarīr ibn Ḥāzim; Mūsā ibn ʿAlī narrated to us, from his father, from Surāqah ibn Juʿshum, who said: “O Messenger of Allah, we used to see the kings of the non-Arabs and their subjects prostrating before them, while you are far more deserving that we should prostrate to you.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, “If I were going to command anyone to prostrate to another, I would have ordered a wife to prostrate to her husband.”
