534 – Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Abī Rizmah narrated to us; al-Naḍr ibn Ismāʿīl narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr narrated to us, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once entered an orchard belonging to the Anṣār, where he found two camels locked in combat. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came near them, they lowered their necks to the ground. Someone from the people said, “They have prostrated to him!” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, “No one is permitted to prostrate to another. Had I been going to command anyone to prostrate to anyone else, I would have commanded a wife to prostrate to her husband, because of the immense right Allah has granted him over her.”
