529 – Isḥāq ibn Ismāʿīl narrated to us; Jarīr narrated to us; from Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd; from Bashīr ibn Yasār; from Ḥuṣayn ibn Miḥṣan.

Abū Khaythamah also narrated to us; Yazīd narrated to us; Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd informed us that Bashīr ibn Yasār told him, from Ḥuṣayn ibn Miḥṣan, that a paternal aunt of his came to the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—seeking some need. When she had finished, the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—asked her, “Do you have a husband?” She said, “Yes.” He asked, “How are you toward him?” She replied, “I do not fall short in serving him except in what is beyond my ability.” He said, “Then take heed—where do you stand with respect to him? For he is your Paradise and your Hellfire.”
