525 – Abu ʿAbd al-Rahman al-Adrami narrated to us; Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri narrated to us; Misʿar narrated to us, from Abu ʿUtbah, from Aisha who said:

I asked the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—“Who among all people has the greatest right over a woman?” He replied, “Her husband.” I then asked, “And who has the greatest right over a man?” He answered, “His mother.”
