517 – Shuʿbah narrated to us; ʿAmr ibn Murrah related, saying, “I heard Abū Wāʾil reporting from ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet ﷺ said: ‘When a woman gives charity out of her husband’s household funds, she receives a reward, her husband receives a reward equal to hers, and the custodian who hands it over likewise receives a reward equal to theirs. None of their rewards is diminished in the least: the husband is rewarded for what he has earned, and she for what she has spent.’” ⦗709⦘
518 – Shuʿbah also narrated to us, from Manṣūr and al-Aʿmash, from Abū Wāʾil, from Masrūq, from ʿĀʾishah, conveying the same report and adding the words: “provided she does not act corruptly.”
