515 – Ahmad ibn Ibrahim narrated to us; Zayd ibn al-Hubab likewise; from Mu‘awiyah ibn Salih, who reported to me from Sa‘id ibn Hani’, from ‘Umayr ibn al-Aswad, who said: “Mu‘adh entrusted his wife to my care. When she died we buried her, and just after we had finished at her grave he arrived and asked, ‘In what did you shroud her?’ We answered, ‘In her own clothes.’ He then ordered that she be exhumed, wrapped her in new garments, and said, ‘Treat the shrouds of your deceased well, for they will be resurrected in them.’”
