511 – My father narrated to me; al-Fadl ibn Ishaq narrated to me; al-Ashjaʿi narrated to us; from Sufyan; from Saʿid ibn ʿUbayd; from ʿAli ibn Rabiʿah, who said:
ʿAli had two wives. Whenever the day was hers, he would buy meat for half a dirham, and when the day was the other’s, he would also buy meat for half a dirham.
٥١١ - حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنِي الْفَضْلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَشْجَعِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ لِعَلِيٍّ امْرَأَتَانِ فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ هَذِهِ اشْتَرَى لَحْمًا بِنِصْفِ دِرْهَمٍ وَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ هَذِهِ اشْتَرَى لَحْمًا بِنِصْفِ دِرْهَمٍ
