492 – Abu Khaythamah transmitted to us; Abu Muʿāwiyah narrated to us; Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah, who said:
“I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raise his hand to strike anyone—neither servant nor wife—ever, except when he was fighting in the cause of Allah.”
٤٩٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ ضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ قَطُّ وَلَا خَادِمًا قَطُّ وَلَا ضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ نِسَاءً قَطُّ إِلَّا أَنْ يُجَاهِدَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ»
