483 — Muḥammad b. Bakkār narrated to us; ʿAbbād b. ʿAbbād narrated to us; ʿAbd Allāh b. Hilāl informed us; he said: A trustworthy companion of ours informed me, from Saʿīd b. Jubayr, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said, “Gabriel continued to counsel me regarding women until I thought he would prohibit divorcing them altogether.”
