459 – Mahmūd al-Warrāq recited to me on that same theme:
(in the Ṭawīl metre)
“They said, ‘Store away what you have earned and amassed
 for your descendants; prudence is nearer to sound guidance.’
So I replied, ‘I shall spend it myself as a treasure,
 and appoint my Lord as the treasure for family and children.’”
