450 – Al-ʿAbbās ibn Jaʿfar narrated to me, saying that a shaykh from Basra related to him, from al-Walīd ibn Abī Bakr, who said: “I heard Ayyūb say, ‘It used to be said: indeed, dependents are the very cause of one’s ruin.’”
