45 – Suwayd ibn Saʿid narrated to us: Hārūn ibn Muslim ibn Hurmuz narrated to us, from al-Qāsim ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī, from his father, who said:

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the ʿaqīqah for al-Ḥasan and al-Ḥusayn, sacrificing for each of them one ram and giving a dīnār in charity. On the day of the ʿaqīqah for one of them, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon Fāṭimah and asked, ‘Fāṭimah, what has become of the meat from your ʿaqīqah?’ She replied, ‘Messenger of Allah, we have eaten from it, fed others, and given some in charity, and a portion still remains.’ She then handed him the foreleg while he was standing, and he ate it without bread; afterwards he went straight into the prayer without touching water.”
