425 – With this same chain, ʿAbdullāh informed us; Zāʾida narrated from al-Mughīra, who said: Ibrāhīm stated, “If the newborn lets out its first cry, the funeral prayer is performed for him and he becomes entitled to inheritance.” Ibrāhīm further explained, “Al-istihlāl means the loud cry.”
