- Shujaʿ narrated to us; Haytham narrated to us; Mansur—and Abu Hamzah—narrated, from al-Hasan, that when he performed the funeral prayer for an infant he would say: “O Allah, make him a forerunner for us, make him a source of reward for us, and make him one who precedes us.”
٤١٦ - حَدَّثَنَا شُجَاعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هَيْثَمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ، وَأَبُو حَمْزَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي الطِّفْلِ إِذَا صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ: «اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ لَنَا فَرَطًا وَاجْعَلْهُ لَنَا أَجْرًا وَاجْعَلْهُ لَنَا سَلَفًا»
