403 – Suwayd ibn Saʿid narrated to us; Marwān ibn Muʿāwiyah narrated, from Mūsā ibn ʿUbayd, from Dāwūd ibn Mudrik, from ʿUrwah, from ʿĀʾishah, who said:
A woman of the Muzaynah tribe entered the mosque, sweeping along in her finery, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was seated. He said, “People, restrain your women from wearing adornment and swaggering in the mosques. The Children of Israel were not cursed until their women put on their adornment and began to strut in their houses of worship.”
