402 – Abu ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad al-Azdi narrated to us, from Khalil ibn Muhammad ibn Khalil al-Kindi; he said: Hammad ibn al-Ashʿath narrated to us, from his mother, from ʿAmrah, from ʿAʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: “The spindle in a woman’s hand is like the spear in the hand of a warrior.”
