400 – Yusuf ibn Musa related to us; ʿUbayd ibn Isḥaq al-Ḍabbī related to us; Jaʿfar ibn ʿImran al-Qazzaz related to us, from Abu Isḥaq, from ʿAmr ibn Shuraḥbīl, with reference to the verse, “O Messengers, eat of that which is wholesome” (Qur’an 23:51). He said, “Jesus used to live on what his mother earned from her spinning.”
