396 – Al-Qasim ibn Hashim ibn Saʿid related to me; Safwan ibn Salih al-Dimashqi related to us; al-Walid ibn Muslim related to us; ʿAnbasah ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman al-Qurashi, on the authority of ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn ʿAbd al-Wahid, from Anas ibn Malik, reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Instruct your womenfolk to use the spindle, for it is better for them and more dignified.”
