387 – Ahmad ibn Jamil al-Marwazi narrated to us; Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us; Qays ibn al-Rabiʿ, from Abu Hashim, from Saʿid ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ʿUmar—who, I believe, traced it back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)—said: “From the time a woman conceives until she gives birth and then weans her child, she receives the reward of one who fights in the cause of Allah while his blood is still flowing. If she dies at any point during that span, she is granted the reward of a martyr.”
