369 – Abu Khaythamah and Ibrahim ibn Saʿid narrated to us; they said: Rawh ibn ʿUbadah narrated to us; Shuʿbah narrated to us, from al-Fuḍayl ibn Faḍālah— a man of the tribe of Qays— from Abu Rajaʾ al-ʿUṭāridi, who said:
ʿImran ibn Ḥuṣayn once came out to us wearing a muṭarrif of khazz (a striped cloak of fine brocade) the like of which we had never seen before nor after. He then said, “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘When Allah bestows a blessing upon a servant, He loves to see the visible effect of His favor upon that servant.’”
