360 – Abu al-Maʿmar al-Hudhali narrated to us; Sufyan narrated to us, from Misʿar.
Fudayl ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhab also narrated to us; Muhammad ibn ʿUbayd narrated to us, from Misʿar, from ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Maysarah, from Saʿid ibn Jubayr, who reported that Ibn ʿAbbas, commenting on the Almighty’s words, “And their father had been righteous” (al-Kahf 18:82), said:
“They were protected because of their father’s righteousness.”
