32 – ʿAbd Allah ibn Abi Badr narrated to us; Wakiʿ reported to us, from Sufyan, from Hajjaj ibn Furafisah, from Makḥul, from Abu Hurayrah, who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever pursues worldly gain through lawful means—so as to spare himself from begging, show kindness to his neighbor, and provide for his dependents—will come on the Day of Resurrection with a face as radiant as the full moon. But whoever seeks worldly gain, though lawful, out of pride, rivalry, and ostentation will meet Allah while He is angry with him.”
