301 – Ahmad ibn Ibrahim narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Rabi‘ah al-Kilabi narrated to us; Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-‘Awfi narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Teach your children to perform the prayer when they reach seven years of age; when they reach ten, discipline them for neglecting it, and separate them in their beds.”
