289 – ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣāliḥ narrated to us; Yahyā ibn Yaʿlā al-Aslamī narrated to us; from ʿAnbasah ibn ʿAmmār al-Qurashī, who said: Ibn ʿUmar would greet every child he passed in the kuttāb (elementary Qur’an school) with the salutation of peace.
٢٨٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى الْأَسْلَمِيُّ، عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ الْقُرَشِيِّ، قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَى مَنْ مَرَّ بِهِ مِنَ الصِّبْيَانِ فِي الْكُتَّابِ
