28 – Abu Hafs al-Sayrafi narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us; Hammam narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu Qilabah, from Abu Asmaʾ, from Thawban, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared, “The finest dinar a man can spend is the one he spends on his dependents, then on his horse made ready in the cause of Allah, and then on his companions.”
