243 – Abū ʿUmar al-Muqriʾ narrated to us; Ismāʿīl ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us; he said: Sufyān ibn Ḥayyān informed him that Shaybah ibn Naṣṣāḥ ibn Yaʿqūb ibn Sargis—the mawla (freedman) of Umm Salama—was brought to her while he was still a child. Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, passed her hand over his head and prayed for blessing upon him.
