239 – Muhammad ibn Ḥassan al-Samtī related to us; ʿAmr ibn Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd related to us, from his grandfather Saʿīd ibn ʿAmr, who said:

Khalid ibn Saʿīd and ʿAmr ibn Saʿīd came and entered upon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, after returning from Abyssinia. Khalid said, “Messenger of Allah, what about us? We were not present at Badr.”

He replied, “Khalid, are you not pleased that while the people have one emigration, you have two?”

“Yes indeed, Messenger of Allah,” he answered. The Prophet said, “Then that is yours.”

Khalid had with him a little daughter wearing a yellow tunic. He said to her, “Go and greet the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.” She went over to the Prophet and began showing him her garment. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to her, “Sinah, sinah”—which means “beautiful” in the Abyssinian language. ⦗405⦘ He then added, “Wear it out and replace it, then wear it out and replace it again.”
