236 – Saʿid ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Abu Shihab al-Hannat, from Ibn Abi Layla, from ʿIsa ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman, from ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, from his father, who said:

I was in the company of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when al-Hasan—or perhaps al-Husayn—was brought to him and the child urinated on him. Some of those present wanted to take the child away, but he said, “My son, my son.” When the child had finished, he poured water over the affected spot.
