235 – Yahya ibn Ayyub narrated to us; Ismaʿil ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us; Humayd informed me, from Anas, who said:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to visit Abu Talhah frequently. One day he came and found that the little bird, the nughayr, belonging to Abu Talhah’s son had died, and the boy was sorrowful and downcast. He asked them about him, and when they informed him, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him, “O Abu ʿUmayr, what happened to the nughayr?”
