230 – Ishaq ibn Ismaʿil narrated to us; Sufyan narrated to us, from Waʾil ibn Dawud, from al-Bahiy, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Usamah ibn Zayd: “Allah has indeed shown us favor in that Usamah was not a girl; had you been a girl, we would have adorned you with jewelry so that people would seek you in marriage.”
