218 – Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Baziʿ narrated to me; Nūḥ ibn Qays narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn Dhakwān narrated to us, from Thābit al-Bunānī, from Anas ibn Mālik:
Al-Ḥasan—or it may have been al-Ḥusayn—would come while the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was in prostration, climb onto his back, and he would lengthen the prostration. People said to him, “O Messenger of Allah, you have prolonged the prostration!” He replied, “My son was riding on me, and I was unwilling to hurry him.”
