208 – Muḥammad ibn Sulaymān al-Asadī narrated to us; Jaʿfar ibn Sulaymān narrated to us; from Thābit; from Anas, who said:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, upon hearing an infant crying with his mother while he was leading the prayer, would recite a light surah—or a short surah.”
٢٠٨ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَسَدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَسْمَعُ بُكَاءَ الصَّبِيِّ مَعَ أُمِّهِ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَيَقْرَأُ بِالسُّورَةِ الْخَفِيفَةِ أَوْ بِالسُّورَةِ الْقَصِيرَةِ»
