181 – Yusuf ibn Musa narrated to us; al-Dahhak ibn Makhlad narrated to us, from a man of Banu Tamim, from Jaʿfar ibn Sulayman, from his father, from ʿAli (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: “Al-Husayn came forward while the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was giving the sermon. When he reached the vicinity of the pulpit he stumbled, and the people lifted him up. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, then stepped down and said, ‘I have no idea how I even came down!’”
١٨١ - وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، ﵁ قَالَ: أَقْبَلَ الْحُسَيْنُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ فَلَمَّا أَنْ بَلَغَ قَرِيبًا مِنَ الْمِنْبَرِ عَثَرَ فَاحْتَمَلَهُ النَّاسُ فَنَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ: «مَا دَرَيْتُ كَيْفَ نَزَلْتُ؟»
