177 – Abu Khaythamah narrated to us; Ismaʿil ibn ʿUlayyah narrated to us; Ayyub narrated, from ʿAmr ibn Saʿid, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: “I never saw anyone more compassionate toward his children than the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. His son Ibrahim had been placed with a wet nurse in the highlands of Medina, and her husband was a blacksmith. The Prophet would go there, and even though the house was full of smoke, he would pick the child up and kiss him.”
