175 – ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣāliḥ al-Muḥāribī narrated to me, from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn al-Walīd, from Muḥārib ibn Dithār, from Ibn ʿUmar, who said: “Allah called them the truly righteous (al-abrār) because they were dutiful to both parents and children. Just as your parents have a right over you, so too does your child have a right over you.”
