160 – I was told by Abū Hammām, on the authority of al-Ashjaʿī, who said: “We were sitting with Sufyān al-Thawrī when his son Saʿīd walked by. Sufyān remarked, ‘Do you see this child? I have never once snubbed him. More than once he has called out to me while I was in a voluntary prayer, and I cut it short for his sake.’”
