153 – Hārūn ibn Sufyān narrated to me; Khālid ibn Khidāsh narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn al-Hamdānī narrated to me, from Mujālid, from al-Shaʿbī, who said: Muʿāwiyah remarked, “Had it not been for the inclination I feel toward Yazīd, matters would have taken an entirely different turn.”
